We love the library

So, this morning we decided to go to the library as a start to our "do nothing" day.




We came home with a variety of picture books, Little House on the Prairie (that we've been waiting to be returned for a while) and another Magic Tree House.

Nathan then fell asleep on the couch as his cold that's been brewing knocked him down. Danielle gave her doll a bath, dried her off, dressed her, popped her to bed for a 2min sleep and then prepared some food for her and had her sitting up at the play table to eat.

After Nathan woke he bought his rope and knot book to me with one he wanted me to do.

I discovered a pirate flag he spent ages making and used up half a roll of tape lol.

It started to rain mid afternoon which was a nice break to the very dry spell we've been having. The kids got out a variety of board games (junior scrabble), card games (Nathan and I played pairs - he wanted to do the scoring which we haven't done before, but Danielle wanted to play with the cards we'd finished with so weren't able to physically count up at the end hence the scorecard). The kids were given activity cards at the library which had join the dot pictures on them, Nathan quite enjoyed them and asked for more to do, so I printed some off the internet for him.

The kids were keen as preparing the veges for dinner - but neither wanted to eat it. Seems like the opposite of The Little Red Hen happened lol...
