Last year we went and saw the local homeschool International Day displays. I asked the kids if they'd like to put their own one together this year which they did. Nathan chose to do our one on Italy.

So late morning we started to have a think about what we'd like to do and made a start...3hrs later (how time flies when you're having fun)...

(measuring out and marking up the lines to make the flag)

(studying the map and deciding on what things we were going to include)

(I traced the map from the book onto tissue paper and Nathan is tracing it onto the map paper)

(Danielle decided to do a rainbow to represent the colours. She then painted the stickers and both of them wrote the names of colours after we'd done a bit of research.)

(the map - just missing a few final touches)

Danielle then wanted to trace her own map and added rivers, roads and sea

(the flag)
Late afternoon we zipped out to drop something off to nannie and grampies and popped into the library on the way back to pick up a couple of books on Italy to help with some more ideas.

I was wondering what you were doing the presentation for - I missed this one.
How fun!

Yes, it has been fun! Nathan's all about Italy, so was great timing to do a bit more of a structured presentation where there was a bigger purpose to it.
