Nathan's actual birthday was the day that he got his presents from us and we just had a relaxing day hanging out. We spent the morning at home and the kids were busy playing with the magnet sets, games, lego and puzzles that Nathan had received. In the afternoon Simon took the kids out so Nathan could try out his new bigger-sized bike that we'd bought him.
We were pleased to receive Farmer Boy (of the little house series) which we'd been looking for at the library every time we go and is never there. So already that book has raised many questions.

We loved the lengthy descriptions of their meals. Our eyes would be popping and stomachs grumbling. Hard to imagine the amount of hard work they put in each day - from youngest to oldest.
