The Eiffel Tower

Today Nathan was inspired by one of the Magic Tree House stories from a month ago. He was playing with his lego making steps and then decided it would become the Eiffel Tower. He discovered while making a long staircase that it needed supporting uprights to stop it from breaking up and was having other trouble getting things to stay put. It was the cause of a lot of frustration for him, so I became the builder and he designed and instructed me on what to do.

He wanted to look up a real picture of the Eiffel Tower and then determined how high the tower needed to be to be of similar proportions to the real deal. He wanted to know how many steps there were (the book talked of the kids walking up all the steps but we couldn't remember) - there are 1,665 in total.
